Description
Castrol Paradene R&O 220 is a rust and oxidation (R&O) inhibited circulating oil (ISO VG 220), and it’s used in equipment that needs long-lasting lubrication with protection against rust and oil breakdown.
Common applications:
Industrial gearboxes (non-EP applications)
→ For lightly loaded gears that don’t require extreme pressure additives
Bearings (plain and rolling element)
→ Especially in large industrial machinery
Circulating oil systems
→ Steel mills, paper mills, and general plant lubrication systems
Hydraulic systems (older / non-anti-wear critical)
→ Where R&O oils are specified instead of AW hydraulic oil
Compressors and pumps (specific types)
→ Where a straight mineral oil with oxidation resistance is required
